Rivers State government reportedly drums up support for Big Brother Naija housemate, Marvis

A letter surfaces online reportedly from the River state government which aims to rally support for Big Brother Naija contestant Marvis.

If reports are to believe, then the Big Brother Naija bug has reached fever pitch.
Several media sites report that the Rivers State government is canvassing for votes for the Big Brother Naija contestant Marvis.
Marvis is one of last five contestants in the Big Brother Naija House. He stands a chance of N25m and an SUV. To ensure that Marvis (who hails from Onne from Rivers state) a letter has reportedly surfaced online.

The letter bears the Nigerian coat of arms but not that of Rivers state. Titled ‘Support! Support!! Support!!!’, the letter appeals to the “good people of Rivers State to stand behind their daughter Miss MARVIS NKPORNWI.” The letter has the SMS short code to vote for Marvis.

The letter of appeal was signed by Michael Ejiohuo, the Permanent Secretary for the Honorable Commissioner of Culture & Tourism.
If this letter is indeed from the Rivers state government, it would be astonishing to know that a state government is begging indigenes to vote for a contestant on a reality show.

The publicity of Big Brother Naija has been very huge. Ousted contestant Kemen had a billboard in Akwa Ibom, his home state. After leaving Big Brother Naija, ThinTallTony got a hero’s welcome in Calabar.

The Big Brother Naija finale is on Sunday, April 8, 2017. The last five contestants are T Boss, Marvis, Bisola, Efe and Debbie Rise.
